What does Make it Fabulous sell?

Make It Fabulous offers decorative knobs, handles, hooks, backplates, curtain accessories and door knockers designed to add character to your home. Our collections include brass, ceramic, glass, stone, metal and animal-inspired hardware for the home including kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways and nurseries.

Can I use your knobs to update existing kitchen cabinets and furniture?

Yes. Changing the knobs or handles is a simple way to refresh kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, chests of drawers, cupboards and other furniture without replacing the whole piece. Before ordering, check the product measurements and compare them with your existing fittings and fixing holes.

What is unlacquered brass?

Unlacquered brass is simply untreated brass without any coating whatsoever so these handles will naturally dull down and age over time, also known as 'living brass' The appearance will give way to a beautiful aged finish, often referred to as patina.

Even when unlacquered items are in sealed bags the air inside can start to cause the oxidization (patina) of the product, therefore it is possible to receive items at different stages of this process causing them to be different shades. 

Can unlacquered brass be polished?

ONLY polished unlacquered brass can be polished.  To do this please use a brass cleaner which will restore the finish to its original colour.  

Can I mix different knobs and handles in the same room?

Absolutely. Mixing complementary materials, shapes or designs can create a distinctive and collected look. You might use one style across the main kitchen cabinets and a statement design on a pantry, island or freestanding cupboard. Repeating a finish, colour or theme will help the overall scheme feel coordinated.

Do you sell hooks that can also be used as curtain tie-backs?

Yes. The collection includes decorative hooks and curtain tie-back hooks that can help hold curtains in place while adding an attractive finishing detail to the room. Check the individual product description and dimensions to make sure the design is suitable for your curtains and chosen position.

How do I choose the right size knob or handle?

Consider the size and weight of the drawer, cupboard or door, as well as the proportions of the surrounding furniture. Smaller knobs often suit compact drawers and cabinets, while larger knobs, cup handles or pull handles can work well on wider or heavier units. Always check the measurements shown on the product page before ordering.

Are your animal knobs and hooks suitable for children's rooms and nurseries?

Many of our animal-inspired knobs and hooks are a fun way to personalise wardrobes, drawers and storage in children’s bedrooms or nurseries. Products should always be installed securely and positioned appropriately. Please check individual product details when choosing hardware for a child’s room.

How do I fix the hardware?

Each product has information on how to install on the individual listing.  We recommend a qualified tradesman or competent DIYer to install.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. Make It Fabulous ships worldwide.

International Shipping - We ship worldwide and the rates are calculated at the checkout based on your location and order

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import charges that may apply.

Orders to the US will be sent DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)

Do You Offer A Trade Discount?

We are always happy to offer discounts to large trade orders.  The discount will vary depending on the quantity and products required.  Please email us, in the first instance to sales@makeitfabulous.co.uk with your requirement and we will provide you with a competitive quote.

What do I do if my goods arrive damaged?

In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, please do contact us straight away.  We will, of course, work out the best way to resolve this.

Can I change my delivery address?

As long as your order has not been dispatched we should be able to change the delivery address for you. 

Can I cancel my Order?

Yes, You may cancel your order and get a full refund up until the product has been dispatched.

Can I return an item if it is not right for my project?

Yes. Make It Fabulous offers a 30-day returns period. To arrange a return, email the team with your order details and include your name and order number inside the returned parcel. Customers returning an order from outside mainland UK should contact the team for guidance before sending it by emailing sales@makeitfabulous.co.uk.
